School Profile

Ron Hockwalt High School (RHHS) is one of three high schools in the Walnut Unified School District. RHHS is the district’s continuation high school and part of the district’s Alternative Education program which includes Independent Study, Teen Age Parenting Program (TAPP), Adult Education and the district Suspension Center.

RHHS’s mission is to provide every student with a place to be successful. We recognize the unique needs of our students and focus on providing programs and services to meet those needs.

RHHS is located in the City of Industry although it is generally thought to be in the City of Walnut. Including out-of-district students we serve over ten cities. Over the years, the Walnut Valley Women’s Club, the “Friends of the Library,” and other organizations have helped build a sense of community by creating scholarships for our graduating seniors.

The goal of Ron Hockwalt High School is to offer students a rigorous, standards-based education using instructional strategies that allow each student to experience success in school. In this small, individualized environment, students discover their personal talents, develop a graduation plan which may include returning to the traditional high school, and establish goals for the future.
