School Mission

The mission of Ron Hockwalt High School is to offer students a rigorous, standards-based education using design-based instructional strategies thus allowing each student to experience success in school. In this small, individualized environment, students discover their personal talents, develop a graduation plan that can include returning to the traditional high school, and establish post-secondary goals.

Our Guiding Principles

At RHA, we value each other…
We believe that each of us is an important human being with valuable contributions to make.

Equality does not mean Uniformity….
We celebrate our differences, knowing that we all are treated equally and fairly.

We Welcome Family Involvement…
Parents, guardians, grandparents and others close to our students are a vital part of our program. We welcome the involvement of those close to our students.

We Value: Kindness, Respect, Compassion, and Fairness…
These are the core values of our students and all staff members.

At RHA, we believe we must “Be the Change We Wish to See.”
All staff and students believe that change first occurs from within, and that individuals working together can make positive changes in our world.

We are a Community of Learners
Our school recognizes that learning is not just for students, but is an on-going process and expectation for teachers, administrators, support staff, and parents.
