The Child Care Program is a non-profit program that operates under the school district's umbrella. The Child Care Program has been operating under the school district's umbrella since 1991 and operated under the City of Walnut Recreation Department many years before that.
Since 1997, the Walnut Valley Educational Foundation has raised nearly a half million dollars for grants that fund innovative classroom projects and provide scholarships to graduating seniors. The Foundation’s purpose is to raise and disperse funds – independent of the Walnut Valley Unified School District – to support enrichment and extra curricular programs. Funds are raised through individual and corporate donations, fund-raising events and a 4-week fee-based summer school program.
